Windows 10: I keep getting emails saying “here is your microsoft account passcode” but I am not trying...

How can I stop whoever is trying to access my account? Someone is clearly since I have gotten emails with passcodes that I didn’t initiate. 7 in the past day

How to add a Microsoft email account to Outlook 2016

I saw an old post describing the steps to add an msn.com email account to Microsoft Outlook. It had to be done manually selecting the first option and using blu404.m.hotmail as the server. If I try to do the same, however, I get an error message saying that the server can't be reached.

How can I add a Microsoft email account (hotmail/outlook) to desktop Outlook? I can use this email account in Outlook Live, (it shows Outlook Mail in the upper left corner of my emails), but I can't add it to Outlook 2016 from Office Professional. I was able to add an @att.net email account, but I don't know what to do for a Microsoft account.

If I try to add it without any manual steps I get an error message saying (more or less): "an encrypted email did not work, try and unencrypted email", but that does not work either. Clearly, some manual configuration is needed: please guide me along the required steps. In case it matters, my password is 8 characters long.

We understand your concern as you are unable to set the Microsoft email account for the Windows 10 login user profile because “it is already here.
Another user on this device uses this Microsoft account, so you can't add it here."



In this scenario we would suggest you to perform these steps and check if you are able to remove it.

1. Press Windows + R key to open
   Run command
   
2. Type lusrmgr.msc and click
   Ok.
   
3. Select Users from the left pane.
   
4. Check the account and if you find the same account in the list. Select the account and delete it.
   
5. Restart the PC and then try sign up with the Microsoft account that you want.

Cannot sign in microsoft account.

My device: Lumia 520. GDR2.
I cannot sign in my Microsoft account on my device. It didnt say any error but Microsoft account is not listed in Email and account list. When I click add button, it will show microsoft account option but after press sign in, it is still not shown in email
and account. Another problem is i cannot delete facebook account. Error code: 0x83cf1202. I have tried as suggested here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2475837/en-us#step0x83cf1202 but as my Microsoft account is not shown, I cannot do step 6.

Any suggestion?
