Windows 10: I keep getting error code 0x800f0982 when trying to install a windows update? Can anyone...

I have continuously been receiving this install error after trying various ways to fix it. please help.

For the past 2 days I have been trying to get windows update (KB4480116) to install and it always comes up with this error code-Error 0x800f0982..I have cleaned software distribution folder and even downloaded the manual install file and it wont take..Any tips appreciated in getting this to install...Right now I have Windows 10 Pro 1809-build 17763.134 .

I mean, in the process monitor, click on the indicated button to start capturing events, then run the update by launching the KB4524570 package.

when the error happens, stop recording events by clicking on the same button. The resulting file can be big enough, so you need to compress it before you upload it.

After that, run these commands:

• sfc/scannonw
• dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth

upload the generated log files, respectively:

• "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
• "C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log"
