Windows 10: I keep getting error code 0xc0000221 on my Acer Nitro 5 laptop.

This is the second time my computer's hard drive failed! I tried everything that I possibly could by looking for instructions on the web to fix my hard drive but this is getting ridiculous. I recently got a new hard drive for my laptop because my other drive's files got corrupted. I spent 5 months trying to get it fixed til I eventually gave up and took it to a repair shop. They told me the same thing and replaced it with a new one. I should also mention that I bought more RAM for my computer hoping it would avoid this issue from now on but it happened again! Everything was going smoothly for

Hi TN. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

Go into BIOS/UEFI Setup to see if you can set the onboard chip to default. You can power on while pressing the Acer F1 or ESC key. Older models may use F2. This may be listed on the BIOS splash screen.

If you don't get a display for the BIOS even, then I'd reinstall the Nvidia card and properly disable it in BIOS setup before removing it this time.

Hello, please help. I am getting error 0xc000021a nonstop when trying to boot. It keeps shutting down automatically.

I think the problem is it is missing a graphics card to boot windows. The Acer Nitro 5 laptop has a built in Intel GPU & also a dedicated Nvidia card but I uninstalled the Intel Graphics 630 so it will automatically use the Nvidia GPU only. The problem
is I think under normal usage the system is set to the default Intel card and for gaming or movies etc it will use the Nvidia card.

Is there a way I can configure it to use the Nvidia GPU to boot? Or if there is a way to boot with no GPU?

Realtek Audio Console on Acer Nitro 5

Hello all. I recently noticed that my Acer Nitro 5 was no longer detecting any headset devices and I am unable to get any input via the mic (and have also borrowed other headsets from the original one I had, all of which have the single 3.5mm jack which
works with the Acer Nitro 5's single audio input). I am also only getting this when I pull up the Realtek Audio Console:



What steps should I take to resolve this issue?
