Windows 10: I keep getting the error code nvlddmkm Event ID 0 on my computer. Does anyone how to fix it?

Hi,I'm posting this here hoping someone can help me fix this. I have tried everything from previous answers and even from different forums, but I keep getting the same error code and sometimes my screen gets this weird dot. I have a feeling it's a bad GPU but then again, I'm not sure. I would appreciate if someone can help with this.Thank you.

i recently got a new PC with an RTX 3080. Since the beginning i kept getting crashes to desktop after a few minutes into a game. It is always the same "nvlddmkm" error:

The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video3 Error occurred on GPUID: 500

I discovered, that the NVIDIA setting "Prefer Maximum Performance" led to these crashes. By returning the setting to "Normal" i am now able to enjoy most of my games ... except Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

I tried every possible fix, from increasing the GPU processing time via the registry, to reinstalling drivers and even reinstalling Windows. I also tried downclocking the GPU wie MSI Afterburner and setting an aggressive fan curve (i rarely reach GPU temperatures above 65 °C now).

It seems, that both the Event ID "0" and especially the Event Data "\Device\Video3Error occurred on GPUID: 500" are quite rare. I wasn´t able to find help on exactly my issue. I attempted most solutions on the internet regarding all kinds of "nvlddmkm" errors, but unfortunatly none of them worked for me.

Hello, I have just had the same problem today, I spent 12 hours under-volting and testing my clock speed and it was solid, no stress test crashes and no crashes in division 1 and 2 which would crash every 10 minutes... got a 99.9% pass in multiple 3dmark stress tests... I popped PoE on today and after about an hour or so it crashed with the nvlddmkm error! I went back to my curve and applied it and no crash so far so I don't know if my curve slipped or didn't save properly but I have seen tons of posts lately with 5900x's and 3080's being the main culprits.... My ram is OC but has passed 400% scope on all threads of my 5900x (took all night) = 0 errors.... OCCT core cycling tests 0 core problems so CPU and ram are solid.... Got to be drivers

Even id 14 nvlddmkm errors

Hello ,

My pc reboots or freezes all of a sudden . When I check event logs I see these type of errors and a lot of them .

I reinstalled my video drivers still the problem persists . Kindly help
