Windows 10: I keep on having fps drops on my windows laptop

Hello I brought an HP envy x360 costed 6200 aed for school and everything functioned fine until someone sprinkled magnesium powder on my computer on my computer. I took it to the service center, where they repaired and perform a factory reset. As school resumed after the winter break, my frame rate decreased substantially, and I was scrolling in word which was lagging really hard. Even when I play games at school everyone does lol Cool math games was lagging so hard. Before all this I could play war thunder in high graphics with about 60 fps. now I have to play low graphics at 30 fps. Sam

Laptop fps drops

When my laptop is unplugged, I get fps drops. The fps drops to 30, 20 or even 10. Someone please help!

what is the model of your laptop. What graphic drivers do you have installed? Can you list a game or two where you measured the FPS drop?

 

Asus laptop drop fps whenever there's Intel driver update

My laptop is ASUS Vivobook X556UQ and theses are its specs : LaptopMedia ASUS Vivobook X556UQ [Specs and Benchmarks] - LaptopMedia.com

My problem is whenever there's an new driver update coming out for my processor Intel or any of Intel processor's components, my laptop gets a huge drop FPS specially in video games (i made sure i checked the FPS before and after the update release).

What is your interpretation of this weird huge drop FPS? And how to fix it?
