Windows 10: I keey getting BSOD while using my newly purchased Windows 11 PC

  2. BSOD with a recently purchased PC

    I have just purchased a new PC, had Windows 11 installed on it and got the BSOD while in Warzone about every time. I have the .DMP file but not sure how to upload it.

    Since it is my first time, i did not know that there is a vendors approved list. and it is not. is that the reason for my BSODS?

    BSOD: PFN_List_Corrupt on newly custom built PC

    Hi there,

    I'm getting frequent (once every 5 days on average) random BSODs - all with the error code: PFN_List_Corrupt.

    PC components:

    Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor, 3.80 GHz

    RAM: 32GB total, (4x8GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, PC4-28800 (3600), Non-ECC Unbuff, CAS 18, 1.35V, AMD Ryzen Optimised 72WPI

    GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING Z TRIO LHR 8GB

    SSD: WD_BLACK SN750 1TB High-Performance NVMe Internal Gaming SSD, ‎WDS100T3X0C DDR SDRAM

    PSU: Corsair RM650 650W Modular 80+ Gold

    Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC ATX

    System type: Windows 11, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

    Have tried:

    • Running memtest, passed 100%
    • Checked SSD using Western Digital software for testing (failed first attempt but passed subsequent longer tests)
    • Checked all QVL lists for RAM and SSD compatibility
    • Used previous version of BIOS
    • Using Windows 10 and Windows 11
    • Updating all drivers, chipset etc.
    How the system is currently running:

    • XMP Profile 1
    • Random BSODs with no correlation to task (sometimes whilst working, closing apps, shutting down)
    • PC sometimes restarts automatically after shutting down, and mouse light remains on after shutdown (perhaps this is linked to the BSOD... I'm not sure)
    • Windows installation media does not detect the SSD when booting from USB install media, so cannot clean install Windows?!
    This is all the information I can provide for now, and I hope this is all relevant/useful. Also happy to send through the dump files if that is of any use.

    I am very appreciative of ANY help on this issue... please let me know your best thoughts.
