Windows 10: I lost 4 GB of drive storage without doing anything

So today I was browsing the internet when all the sudden I checked my disk space and I was at 377 GB instead of 381 GB.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's a WD My Passport that failed on you, @tomhenry ! *Frown
I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. Storage lost

Hi, I have Ssd of 512 GB It come with 475gb inbuilt After partition of my drive into 200, 150, 125=475.

I counted all the storage and it showing 473 GB only

i lost neary 2GB of storage Why it is heppend and how can I recover it.

What's eating up my \C: drive?

That reduced System Volume Information to 662 KB, left $GetCurrent at 3.8 GB which is called media when clicking the little arrow. Storage sense or Disk cleanup gave no reference to $GetCurrent, and the [2 files] are pagefile.sys and swapfile.sys.

I will thank everyone and mark this thread as solved, I now have over 27 GB of free space on my C: drive, it must just slowly get down to size where Windows warned me with a red "flag" when viewing This PC.
