I wasn't giving steps on how to get RDP working, that is covered plenty of other places, I just give the steps to make it secure.

RDP. If they aren't tracking your Web browsing, I doubt they are going to track RDP.

And if you start the session from the command prompt it doesn't even put the address in the MRU list.

Though the question that needs to be asked now is, what are you using for your VM lab?

 

Apps accessing internet runs slowly

I've been having an on going issue with my laptop running W10 (21H2 Build 19044.1586). Any application that I run that requires accessing the internet runs very slow whilst it is running. e.g. Web pages are slow to load regardless of browser (I use Firefox and MS Edge). This had been going on for quite some time and I've simply put up with it. It appears as there's a bottleneck like there's too much going on in the background. I am looking for some guidance as to how to both analyse and possibly correct this issue. I know it's not a connectivity issue as my PC using the same connection (via ethernet to router) runs well as I'm using the same/similar software with not speed issues. TIA for any tips/suggestions.
