Windows 10: I lost my HP laptop Serial No CND7410D6B- Kindly advise how can I get it back?

Windows 10 serial on OEM


So I'll summarize steps made...

1. Saved serial number (taken with Belarc Advisory) from preinstalled (half chinese language) Windows 8.1 (don't know exactly the version, suspect Windows 8.1 with bing) on tablet
2. Formatted tablet
3. Tried to make a clean Windows 10 (HOME, HOME N and also PRO, everytime with the same result) install with ISO taken with MediaCreationTool, during install (and also after completing installation) it says that the saved serial is not valid
4. Tried to reinstall Windows 8.1 (ISO taken with MediaCreationTool again) HOME, it says that the serial is not valid

So i suspect that the saved serial, is from a WINDOWS 8.1 WITH BING OEM version and this kind of ISO is not accessible/downloadable anywhere (at least I can't find it, any suggestion?)

Still not tried SHOWKEY with that serial, I am in office now, and the serial is saved on a usb pen at home, will try this evening.

So I'm stucked but if everything is like I suspect, it's incredible. If I have a tablet/notebook/netbook with Windows 8 preinstalled, it seems that I can update to Windows 10 without problems, but if I want to make a clean Windows 10 install that serial is not valid...

Appreciate your response. Here is the confusing thing I am observing.
Instead of searching by Model X360 M6, in order to avoid confusion as there are several variants of that model , I searched by my laptop Serial Number and it brought up the model HP ENVY x360 - m6-w103dx (ENERGY STAR)

For this model when I look up under Network Driver, I notice 3 of them as shown in screenshot below

Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver (Windows 10)
Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver
Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Drivers






However as suggested by you when I look in the associated files section for each of these 3 Driver files, it does NOT contain "Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-7265"

As you noticed, I can only see AC-7265 as a supported Device in the associated files section for the Intel WLAN Driver listed under HP Laptop model "HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq105dx" which is NOT my Laptop Model. Mine as i mentioned aboe which I got from my serial number is HP ENVY x360 - m6-w103dx (ENERGY STAR) which lists the above 3 Drivers, Broadcom/realtek/realtek which Never list AC-7265 as a supported device.

So I am confused as to what do I do in this case.
Do I download the Intel WLAN Driver from the Laptop "HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq105dx" that is NOT the same as my LAPTOP model because it supports "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265"

OR

do I download one of the 3 Broadcom/Realtek WLAN drivers listed under my Laptop Model based on serial number "HP ENVY x360 - m6-w103dx (ENERGY STAR)" which however under associated files, Do NOT even list "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265" as a supported Device ? iF so which of the 3 do I choose ?

Shopping for a new Laptop: Suggestions on Manufacturers? HP or Dell?  

I generally advise against the home/small business laptops ... or any laptop that lists for under $1000. They tend to be junk.
When you buy junk it breaks ... and then you buy junk again ... and it breaks.
But with the over-$1000 business laptops you get better construction and longer life.

I was going to suggest Lenovo. Mine is 7 years old and works perfectly. Can't say the same for the Dells and HPs that I've owned.

But for $150 you can't get anything ... not if you buy new.
If you buy cheap you're just throwing your money away.
