Windows 10: I messed up by trying to access my file on desktop from a different disk

I have a massive problem, cannot open start menu, it takes ages to open folders from disk C from explorer. And i don’t really know what more. I even had a problem with desktop. After logging in I was getting an error that access is denied to C\users\…\desktop. But this I fortunately resolved.When I go to security tab of my disk C, I can see “unknown user” and I think that may be the root of my problem. I have windows 11 btw.It happened because I attached second drive to my computer and ran windows 10 from it. I needed to access one file from a desktop of my normal drive. It asked me about admi

Cannot read files on floppy disk

Hi, I have files that I know are good on a floppydisk. On trying to access them a message says the disk need formatting. I have tried to use PhotoRec from the UBCD but it will apparantly only read HDD or CD/DVD.

Can anyone suggest a freeware program that might work. Thank you for your help.

 

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”
