Hi, recently my computer was infected with malware, but used MalwareBytes to delete some of them. However, my computer is still abnormally loud in the fans and I fear that I still have malware. What do I do? Running a scan using Windows Security will detect nothing, so I'm stuck.

    Infected by mail.ru virus

I reinstalled Java, now its version is 64-bit. We have deleted and cleaned a lot of things. So I think I shouldn't think my PC is infected now. I thought silly about residual files, sorry for that. This infected virus disrupted my psychology. Anyway, is there any step to clean or do something else for harmful file or stuff in my PC?

Thanks. I most likely have a residual virus after deleting most of them. :)

  3. Reboot Virus Deletion?

Alright, so I think I have a virus that my computer isn't detecting. None of my processes seem suspiscious, but just to be safe, I'd like to re-install Vista. I have an iMac. I use a program called Boot Camp to partion the HDD so I can install/uninstall Vista on the alternate partion. If I delete the Vista partion, and reinstall Vista, will everything be deleted, including the virus? By the way, I think it could be the csrss.exe virus thing. Not really asking help to remove it, just if the above would work. Thanks *Smile I most likely have a residual virus after deleting most of them. :)

How do I delete "residue" files after removal of videos?

    Hello there,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

Avi, mp4 and other video files are not similar to application files. There are no residue files left after you have deleted the video file itself.

The video files do have thumbnails but that is most likely not the reason for the slowdown but if you wish to delete them follow these steps :

Click on the search bar and type in disk cleanup

Press enter and choose C drive from the options

Let the files scan and in the popup box untick every option except the last that says "thumbnails" then click ok and confirm the deletion.
