Windows 10: I moved files over from my Old computer to my external hard drive as i was selling it but...

Hi,So a while back i sold my old PC and i've not come across this before so im really confused, not all contents are fully encrypted as i can move things away fine but theres couple folders that i NEED from it, yet its all encrypted saying i need permission from a bunch of numbers my old Account on my old PC It was the same email adress used so i pressume its a windows thing, All i need to do is move them off my external drive to my PC but i cant find any work around, i even set myself to owner but then it just says it needs my permission

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

Old Hard drive to new hard drive

I now have my old hard drive converted to an external drive and am wondering what is the best way to move files from the old to the new. I was thinking of booting the old drive and saving the files I want to the cloud and then downloading them to my new
computer. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
