Windows 10: I my laptop keeps spamming the r key

About a month ago, my laptop's 'r' key stopped working randomly. I tried to fix it by removing the key, but I couldn't put it back in place. After that, the 'r' key started working and then stopped functioning again. Finally, it stopped working altogether. Today, the key is spamming 'r' when I press the 't' key and also randomly types 'r' when I am typing or moving the cursor to a text box. Please help me I need to do my work.

Laptop keeps spamming * key

I have an issue where my laptop started to spam * constantly, whenever I click to a text box, it keeps adding * non-stop. At least the issue is not present during log-in so I can write the password, but after that it happens constantly. Sometimes when I press * myself, it stops for a few seconds but then starts again.

I have tried several methods to solve the issue but none have worked so far. Attempted and failed methods so far are:

• Take out and clean the key with canned air, smash it and the keys around to unstuck the key
  
• Open and clean the backside of laptop, detach the battery and press power button for 10s
  
• Run the keyboard troubleshooter
  
• Update/remove keyboard driver
  
• Check filter and sticky key options
  
• Add a delay to the repeating keys
  
• Apply latest updates for Windows 11 (including one for keyboard)
  
• Start laptop in safe mode (issue still present)
  

After these I tried disabling the key with Keytweak, but got a quite confusing result. The scancode for the stuck key * seems to be 12, it is also what I see in the Keytweak when I press the key. But if I leave the keyboard by itself the scancode from repeated key is 55, which is normally the code for . (I also get code 55 if I press . ). So I tried to disable both keys * (code 12) and . (code 55). After this, if I press the keys * or . I get the scancode 0 (as expected), but if I leave the keyboard alone it still shows the code 55 from repeated key, even though it should be disabled.

At this point I have no idea if this is a software or hardware issue, so I would like to get some help here to eliminate all options for software side before sending the laptop to repair.

Laptop spamming the Q key

Hi so i have this issue on my laptop where the Q key doesnt work and whenever i press w e r u i o p and delete key the computer spams the q key it also just happens randomly, this issue has been going on for about 3 days and is geqtting annoying. i have tried running full virus scans cause that seemed like it helped others with similar issues the laptop is a lenovo yoga series 7. sorry for the barebone explaination but the issue is ongoing while writing this
