Windows 10: I need a copy of windows 98 se original install 3.5" disc

I need a copy of windows 98 se original install 3.5" disc, I have the book, original install cd, and product key certified by microsoft. I need to create a bootable Dos disk from win 98 to flash the bios on an older system because the motherboard usb ports do not work, All of this so I can use an old software tied to windows 2000.Rich

Windows 98......

Windows 98 SE is Windows 9x and Windows 2000 is Windows NT. Some software may not run on Windows 2000 where it did on Windows 98 SE (ISA especially).

Windows 98 SE does have USB support but it isn't near as plug n' play as it is today. You have to make sure to install drivers (if nothing else, generic Microsoft drivers) for all USB devices. The Windows 98 SE disk comes in real handy for that.

I hawe to install windows 98 se on Asus A9T notebook, and its crashing when its starts copying the win98 files.
WTF is going on??

 

Installing XP without a CD drive

Follow these steps:

1. Create a boot floppy on a Windows 98 machine. (or get it here: http://files.frashii.com/~bootdisk/alabama/boot98se.exe)
2. Boot your new machine with the boot floppy using the "boot with CDROM support" option.
3. Place the Windows 98 CD into the CDROM and at the c: prompt navigate to the Windows 98 directory on the CD. <--- you can skip this step, by dling smartdrv.exe and xcopy.exe over the web and copying it to the floppy
4. Start smartdrv.exe and copy the xcopy.exe command to the c:root. (If you can't find it you can easily download a copy from the Web.)
5. Put the XP CD in and xcopy the installation folder (I386) to the C: drive.
6. Switch to the copied folder and type winnt.exe (the XP installation command).
7. Windows XP will now install itself.
