    I'm a Windows user with dyslexia, and I've hit a wall with something that might seem trivial to many but is a significant hurdle for me: reading the white text of desktop file names. I cannot do that anymore. It's 2024, and while Windows has made leaps in various areas, I'm baffled by the lack of basic accessibility features that cater to users like me. The existing options – Magnifier, Narrator, high contrast settings – they just don't cut it for my specific need, which is quite straightforward: I want to change the color of my desktop file names to black. That's it. But this simple cha

    To change your desktop font, you may follow these steps:

    Go to Settings.

    Choose Personalization.

    Select Themes.

    Under Themes, select Theme settings.

    On the left pane, click Change desktop icons.

    To change the font size of the icons on your desktop, refer to these steps:

    Right-click on your desktop.

    Click View.

    Select the font size you prefer for your desktop icon.

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.



    1. Click on the Settings button at the top of the AOL Window.
    2. Click on Font and Text.
    3. Click on Font.
    4. Click on the Down Arrow next to: Arial, then click on your preferred font name.
    5. Click on the Down Arrow next to 10 or your preferred font size and then click on 12 or 14 or your preferred size.
    6. Under Text Settings, click on Small, Medium or Large. (Preferred option)
    7. Click on Save.
    8. Close the Font & Text window by clicking on the X button in the upper right-hand corner of the window and check the status of the font.
