    Hey. So I have two problems. I'll start with the one the tech support people refuse to help me with.

    I'm trying to sync my Google account to my Windows Calendar. When I click on
    Google as the option to sync, a black screen pops up with "Creating account"
    then sends me back to the select account to sync screen. I try it again, it
    does it again. It's an eternal loop. If I click on the Google option several
    times very very quickly, I can force a sign-in window to pop up. I use it, and
    I go through all the steps, click accept when Windows asks me if I agree that it'll
    have access to various parts of my Gmail account, and then.. it sends
    me back to the sync selection screen.

    I can't get this damn thing to sync to Google at all, because it won't even
    load through the process properly. I've already gone through the troubleshooting
    link provided when I spoke to tech support the first time. It didn't work.

    To be clear - My OS is up to date. I checked the numbers between my current and the
    recommended.
    I've updated the app, I've even uninstalled and reinstalled it.
    I've restarted the app.
    I've checked permissions on the app.
    I've made sure I've got literally no firewalls or protections on, and just for fun, I still
    checked windows firewall to allow the calendar through.
    I've made sure the calendar accepts other accounts.


    My second problem.
    How do I file a complaint about these *three* tech support people who all disconnected from me? I had no other windows up. My internet is fine. I had the one help window
    up just waiting for them to reply to me. I'm getting really annoyed. The first person who helped me gave me troubleshooting
    steps and sent me on my way. Left the conversation, no way to get back.
    The second person flat out ignored me when I told them what my issue was, asked
    me to explain my issue after I already did, and they just didn't speak at all.
    Like he was waiting for me out and hoping I just left.
    So here I am. Again. I've used the tech supports troubleshooting link for my
    problem, it wasn't working. My OS is up to date, the app is up to date, everything
    restarted, I need help and I'm about to contact someone higher up just to get
    it. Again, just for fun, I took screenshots of all the conversations and names.

    Thank you, HairyFool! The email seemed so real to me! I guess that's what happens when you know a little bit, but not enough! I appreciated your quick response and your suggestion of the Adw Cleaner.

    I hate to admit that I did call the number and someone answered 'tech support.' When he asked how he could help me, I asked him what company he was with....and then he disconnected. I then reported it to Microsoft.

    Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's a WD My Passport that failed on you, @tomhenry ! *Frown I need help, and tech support keeps disconnecting from me :(
    I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
    I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics.     Give these troubleshooting steps a try and keep us posted with the results!
