Windows 10: I need help because I am no longer able to log into my computer with my pin or fingerprint.

Hi!Hope that you are well.I am writing to you because since the new update of a few days ago, it is a constant struggle to log into my computer. Every time I log into my computer, I have to provide my bitlock recovery key. I then am unable to use my fingerprint and I get an error message saying that I cannot put in my pin number. This means I have to use my phone in order to log into my outlook email, and then need a confirmation from my gmail account.I have tried several times to update my pin or even put in a new fingerprint through Windows Hello, but I get an error every time I try to creat

Log in by PIN/Fingerprint Failed

Hi,

I have been in problems with PIN/fingerprint log-in for over 1 month.

My log-in method is password, PIN and fingerprint. My fingerprint log-in works just fine previously. Sometimes it cannot identify me, which is normal, I would enter my password to unlock instead. I could not remember the PIN, and the password is a lot longer than PIN, so I decided to change to a new PIN which I could remember. Ever since I changed my PIN a month ago, both fingerprint and PIN stopped working.

Problem description:

1. Previously, when I tap my finger in the sensor, the screen will unlock automatically.

2. Now when I tap my finger, my system needs me to enter PIN

3. After entering the correct PIN, computer says it is not working due to error code (0x80090027), and advises me to restart and see if the problem can be solved automatically.

4. It has not been solved at all, though I have restart the PC for dozen times for the previous month.

My personally account is the Administrator, and I have another student account binding by onedrive by not the Windows account page. My PC is Samsung Book Pro, if this helps.

pin and fingerprint log in

I keep having to setup my fingerprint and pin. At first it says I need a pin because it can't use my fingerprint due to a change in security settings. Then it says I can't use the pin. I have reset these things repeatedly.

Here is the message: "Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device."

 

Unable to Access Windows - PIN and Fingerprint Issues

I am experiencing issues accessing my Windows account due to problems with the PIN and fingerprint login. Here are the steps I followed and the issues encountered:

1. I entered an incorrect PIN several times.
   
2. I decided to change the PIN. I successfully logged into my account. and attempted to change the PIN, but an error occurred during the process.
   
3. Now, I am unable to log in using the PIN, and it is blocked for 2 hours.
   
4. I am offered the option to use fingerprint authentication, but it does not work.
   
5. I am not given the option to log in using my password or account credentials, even though I logged in with them when attempting to change the PIN.
   

How can I regain access to Windows?
