I need help anytime I try and switch out of S mode says something went wrong on you’re end and I’ve tried everything

I cannot switch out of s mode, it just says "something went wrong at our end"

Switching out of S mode not working

I'm following all the instructions to switch out of S mode, but when I get to the step to click on "Get" (Switch to Windows 10 Home in the Store), it just says "something went wrong on our end, try again later". Every time. For weeks and weeks. How
can I get this to work?

 

Help Me Understand What I'm Doing Wrong

I may be missing something, but I think what's being suggested is you use the arrow to choose another different method other then 'phone number' such as email or an authentication app, whatever's on the drop down list that's not a phone number.
