Windows 10: I need help finding the issue to the performance of my pc when recording footage and how to...

Hello kind person, I'm a 15 year old programmer and I'm working on a video game using the unity game engine... I'm planning on opening a channel in the future where I do devlogs... the thing is how would you do devlogs with out recording your pc footage? So I went ahead and downloaded obs... I tried recording some footage when in the game engine... the gameplay was flawless, no frame drops or anything when I was testing the game in unity... but when I click end record on obs... I check the footage and its awful... everything from choppy to laggy to depressing... keep in mind that I'm using a potato pc too, 12 GB ram, 500 GB hdd no ssd, a low profile amd radeon thats 4gb, and last but not least, a core i5 processor... so the next step was to download the most light weight record software, which is loilo gamerecorder, so I did the same thing, tried it out and looked at the footage, definitely better and less choppy than obs... but there were frame drops, low quality, and I guarantee you the fps was probably 20...... SO PLEASE... I beg of you.... can you please tell me about anything I could buy or download to make it so that there is 0 added work to my pc when recording, AND can the fps please be at least 40 ?? I heard of something called a capture card or whatever and I'll be more than happy to buy it if it will solve the issue....Please just tell me about anything I could buy to solve this...

Streaks across footage recorded on DVR

Hello, I've been having a wee issue with the DVR. It's recording footage and sound without a hitch, however the final footage appears to have unusual streaks going across it. The streaks can easily be seen in this video. This happens on every piece of footage
I record.

Steps Recorder there... but not there

I seemed to have been saved by a link to this fix:
Please use regedit to rename hklm\software\policies\microsoft\windows\AppCompat - changeAppCompat to AppCompat_HOLD . Then try launching PSR again.
Tried it and now Steps Recorder seems to be working as it should.
But to follow up on your suggestion, I'm going to try to find and repair the corrupt files that my sfc scan found... after setting a restore point!

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
