Windows 10: I need help. I can't hear any sound from my laptop. Any ideas?

Hello everyone. I need some help. I could not hear anything from my laptop. The only thing that is working, is when I plug in my second monitor, and the sound is coming from the monitor, but I can't travel with it :. So, what did I do till now. I did go to the Device Manager and checked all the drivers to see if they have the newest version. I did also uninstall them all and restarted the PC to let the system install them automatically. I did also download the latest Realtek driver, and install it, and it also didn't work out. I scanned all the files with SFC /scan now, nothing happened. I tr

I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps:

  Go to Control Panel Items
  
• 
  Click on Sound.
  
• 
  Click on Sounds Tab.

  Click on Desktop Mail Notification.
  
• 
  Click TEST.
  
• 
  Click OK.
  

And check if you are able to hear the email notification sound.

Unable to hear sound

1. Is your issue confined to a single application or for all?

Method 1: Run the troubleshooter.

Please follow the steps below:

• 
  Type “Troubleshooting” on the Windows Search bar and hit enter.
  
• 
  On the left side of the Troubleshooting window, click on “View all”
  
• 
  Click on Windows Store App. Please provide a password if asked for it and click ok.
  

Method 2: I would suggest you do the following steps and see if it helps:

Update Sound, video and game controller drives from Device Manager.

• 
  Press Windows key + R key. Type "devmgmt.msc" and click Enter.
  
• 
  Expand the Sound, video and game controller drives.
  
• 
  Double-click on the drive.
  
• 
  In Properties, go to Drivers Tab and click on Update.
  

Method 3: If this does not work you might have to Uninstall and then reinstall your drivers in compatibility mode.

Follow the steps to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

• 
  Press Windows key + R key. Type "devmgmt.msc" and click Enter.
  
• 
  Expand the Sound, video and game controller drives.
  
• 
  Double-click on the drive.
  
• 
  In Properties, go to Drivers Tab and click on Uninstall.
  
• 
  Reinstall your audio driver from Manufacturer's Website in Compatibility mode.

  Restart your system

Disable beep sound when plugging/unplugging laptop charger

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Disable the PC Speakers and check if it helps.

• Right click on Sound Icon in the task bar and go to Playback devices.
  
• Select Speaker and click on properties.
  
• Go to Levels tab, and mute (or you can reduce it) PC Speaker and check if it helps.
