Windows 10: I need help installing and running wsl2 on windows 11 version 23h2, seeing error 0x80070057...

I have a new install of Windows 11 Prod Insider Preview OS version 23H2 OS Build 25905.1000 I tried installing WSL 2 which was successful, but upon installing any wsl distribution I'm seeing the following error;PS C:\Users\dpittman> wsl --install -d Ubuntu-22.04PS C:\Users\dpittman> wsl --status Default Version: 2 Windows Subsystem for Linux was last updated on 7/21/2023The Windows Subsystem for Linux kernel can be manually updated with 'wsl --update', but automatic updates cannot occur due to your system settings. WSL2 for windows

I have failed into installing WSL for Windows. I have read here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../install-win10 how to do it, and at step 4:

1. Download the latest package:
   
   • WSL2 Linux kernel update package for x64 machines
   [COLOR=var(--text)][COLOR=var(--info-dark)] Note[/COLOR]
   If you're using an ARM64 machine, please download the ARM64 package instead. If you're not sure what kind of machine you have, open Command Prompt or PowerShell and enter: systeminfo | find "System Type".

2. Run the update package downloaded in the previous step. (Double-click to run - you will be prompted for elevated permissions, select ‘yes’ to approve this installation.)

Thanks, got it. Could you try out the steps in this guide here. I know you already tried troubleshooter so if that's the same as the 1st step in this link, just skip to the 2nd suggestion instead.

 

WSL2 - Upgrade / Installation

When trying to upgrade to wsl2 I get this error:

I have hyper-v, wsl, vm platform features enables and virtualization is also enabled in bios.

my windows version is: 21H2 OS Build 1904

Tried reinstalling a couple of times already, tried all available version of ubuntu (both from microsoft store and through wsl, available on wsl --list --online WSL1 is running properly but I need wsl2 to work with docker desktop
