Windows 10: I need help of buying 1TB M.2 SSD SATA 2280 for my Asus Vivobook 15 R542UQ-DM153...

I want to upgrade from 250GB M.2 SSD SATA 2280 to 1TB M.2 SSD SATA 2280 only.


My asus laptop supports only M.2 SSD SATA 2280. I have sorted out from three models from the amazon india website .


1. Western Digital WD Blue 1 TB M.2 2280 SATA Internal Solid State Drive WDS100T2B0B

price in rupess 9047.00


2. Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA M.2 Type 2280SS Internal SSD CT1000MX500SSD4

price in rupess 9692.00


3. Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SATA M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Drive SSD MZ-N6E1T0

price in rupess 12199.00


i am getting much confusing while buying online site.


Note:: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SATA M.2 2280 is not available in offline store.

Other two company models are available in offline store.


I am waiting replies from M.2 SSD SATA experienced users.

ASUS VIVOBOOK 15 R542UQ-DM153 ( bios model X542UQ ) SAFEMODE OPTION IN WINDOWS 10

1)All the windows 10 desktops and laptops are able to boot directly to safe mode immediately after pressing F8button in the keyboard after powered on.

2) If you want to troubleshoot the drivers and hardware, safe mode is useful.

3) Moreover, if windows gets some problems comes with BSOD or cant able to boot as normal mode, then we can use LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION

4) I have modified the windows settings on two devices ( desktop and laptop) so that I can able to boot either Normal or safe mode immediately after powered-on the device.

Thinking about getting a 1TB m.2

My first thought was that using a 1TB SSD in what is basically a caching scheme is crazy.

On further thought, it's crazy.*Smile

If you had a PCI-E 4.0 CPU + motherboard (you do not, at least in your My Computer listing), I'd suggest this: Sabrent 1TB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Internal SSD Maximum Performance Solid State Drive With Heatsink (SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-HTSK-1TB) - Newegg.com.

 

in my personal opinion. DON'T buy a Lenovo Legion Y520

i am using asus vivobook 15 R542UQ-DM153 bpought on 31-01-2018 , with intel i5 7200u nvidia 940mx 2GB vram GDDR5 with 8GB ram running windows 10 enterprise 64bit 1803 built no17134.441 , running smoot.

added samsung evo 860 M.2 SSD 250GB as primay boot drive . still no issues , no bsod , i dont know other users feedback ,
