Windows 10: I need help restoring the permissions to TrustedInstaller on a file I accidentally changed to.

Hi, so the title self-explains it.But let me make it more clear to understand.So, I was changing permissions to a folder, when I wasn't reading that I was changing a system folder,I tried restoring it with takeown /s /f /u, it didn't work, and applied more files permission to my account:Then I tried doing it in a GUI way, no, I can't even restore it:Now I don't know what to do anymore

Restore WindowsApps permissionss to TrustedInstaller

This Windows apps permission could have happened due to the corrupted or outdated Windows component,
we suggest that you follow the instructions below to restore or reset the default permission for your folder or file:

• Open the File Explorer.
• Browse to the system file you previously changed ownership.
• Right-click the file, and select Properties.
• Click on the Security tab.
• Click the Advanced button.
• On the "Advanced Security Settings" page, click the Change link on Owner.
• On the "Select User or Group" page, type the following to add the TrustedInstaller account and click
  Check Names: NTService\TrustedInstaller.
• Click OK and click Apply.
• Click OK again to complete the task.

Restore Security Permissions

I understand that you have cancelled the security permissions while setting it to folders and you are trying to restore back. We will help you.

• Which folder are you trying to set the permissions?
• What are you referring to " files is affected "?

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Open the file explorer and select the destination folder
  for which you wanted to revert back the permission changes.
• Right click on the folder. Select the Previous versions
  tab.
• Select the previous version in the below list and click
  apply.
• Check if the issue persists.

Can't edit permissions or add new users to C Drive. (FIXED, SOLUTION IN OP)

FIXED: Last ditched attempted at fixing this, thanks to Reddit. Saved me a lot of time instead of resetting PC

Step 1: On the drive with the issue (my case it was the C Drive), right click it and select properties. Under the security tab click Advanced, then at the top next to Owner change it to you (name/whatever your account is called), instead of TrustedInstaller.
Click Apply then OK.

Step 2: Exit out and fix the Administrator and User permissions by rechecking the boxes that you accidentally unchecked. Hit Apply then OK.

Step 3: Restoring TrustedInstaller as Owner (important step) follow guide: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/restore-trustedinstaller-as-owner-windows

Step 4: After restoring TrustedInstaller, hit Apply then OK.
