Windows 10: I need help signing in to my Microsoft account on a new desktop PC running windows 11.

I'm setting up a new desktop PC with Windows 11. When I try to sign in to my Microsoft account it doesn't accept my password.So I've reset it and when I go to Settings-Accounts-Sign in, I enter my email address and new password. It then asks for my password "one last time" and rejects the same password! ****?I've gone around in circles repeatedly with the "sign-in helper" which says there are no problems with my account!?

• Is this the only account on the computer?
• Was this account upgraded from previous version of Windows?

It looks like you are using a local account. I suggest you follow these steps:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Microsoft account instead.
• Enter your Local account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the new Microsoft account and click OK.

Help Needed: Can't Sign Into Microsoft Account on Windows 11 Desktop

I'm having a persistent issue with signing into my Microsoft account on my Windows 11 desktop. Despite having all drivers and updates installed, the login.live page doesn't appear, and the pop-up just closes by itself. This problem occurs with any app trying to sign into a Microsoft account on my desktop, including the Microsoft Store.

Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Verified Multiple Platforms: I can log in without any problems using the same credentials on the web and mobile devices.
   
2. Affected Apps: This issue affects all apps that require Microsoft account authentication on my desktop, not just one specific app.
   
3. Updated Drivers and Windows: Ensured that all drivers and Windows updates are current.
   
4. Cleared Cache and Cookies: Cleared browser cache and cookies.
   

 

Windows 11 Work account Sign in

I got a new PC at work and needed to sign in with my work account but realised it was running windows 11 home, so I signed in with my personal account and purchased the windows 11 pro upgrade through the Microsoft store.

Since this is a work PC I don't want to be signed in with my personal account and linking my work one, but I can't see how I would sign in to my work account besides resetting the PC and doing it there.

Is there is a way to change the primary sign in account to my work one and remove my personal account. If not would resetting the PC remove the windows 11 pro licence and leave me back at step 1?
