Windows 10: I need help to install important security update on my computer

It has been 4 weeks that I wanted to install the security update and when I click on "Check for updates" it load for some seconds and then nothing happens. There is the cercle with the two arrows one on the opposite sense of the other with a red point the rapid access of some applications in the status. I really don't know why this update is so difficult to install on my computer.

• Which security software is installed in the computer?
• Do you remember making any specific change in the computer prior to the issue?
• Are you referring to an update or multiple?

This could be due to several reasons and to diagnose the issue, I would suggest you to try the steps below and check;

Step 1: Remove any external devices connected to PC (except mouse and keyboard)

Step 2: Disable security software and check.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software,
you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Step 3: If you are referring to multiple updates, I would suggest you to try installing 4-5 updates at a time and then try restarting the computer.

Seems like it's stuck in that mode and not installing then...maybe run IE WIndows Update and see if you can get the updates to install that way.

I usually set mine to just notify me of important updates, then I download and install them and restart if it requires such.

Windows 7 Ultimate (64) Security updates not installing.

I have been having problems in installing the updates that I have listed below. For each update I attempted to install them individually but they would not install. I also downloaded the SURT 6.1 KB947821 v27. The problem has been going on now for about 2 months. (whenever the issue with the updates comes to mind I am never near my pc). Thank you in advance.
