    I need help using Sony a7ii as a webcam


    Don’t know where to post this question or if this subreddit allows this but I desperately need help so here we go. I have a big interview this week and wanted to use my a7ii for a webcam. I have the remote and OBS installed and they both recognize my camera. When I go to my File Explorer (Windows 10) it recognizes my camera under Devices and Drivers. However as soon as I go to Camera or to device manager it is no where to be found. I have it so all apps have access to my camera so I have no clue what’s going on. I’ve tried everything I can find. Please help the interview is in two days and I’d rather not use my laptop webcam.

    Sony Laptop Webcam not working with Skype

    Hi Geoff,

    If the webcam has issues only while using skype, then as an initial troubleshooting step I would recommend you to reinstall skype and then check if it helps.

    Please revert if you face any issues with Sony laptop webcam.

    I have a DELL 'inspiron 24 5475' which has a built in webcam. I am operating windows 10, I am also operating Norton 360.

    My webcam is not working, and not even listed on the device manager. any suggestions please?
