Windows 10: I need help with allowing apps access to microphone

Not able to find out how to access to microphone in games, my plug in headphones with microphone work on computer just not in games and I’ve already to to allow access to the apps through microphone > privacy > allow access then it says choose apps to allow microphone access to and the games do not pop up as an option to allow access to them. Please help

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I understand you're having trouble with your microphone in Windows 10.

Make sure "Allow access to the microphone on this device" is turned on

Press Win+I then search microphone privacy settings

click change and turn it on.

To let apps access the microphone, select the Start button, and then select Settings > Privacy > Microphone . Then turn on Allow apps to access your microphone.

After allowing access to the microphone, you can choose which apps can access these features under Choose which apps can access your microphone.

How to control which Microsoft Store apps can use the microphone

Go to Start > Settings > Privacy > Microphone.

Choose your preferred setting for Allow apps to access your microphone.

Under Choose which apps can access your microphone, turn the individual settings for apps On or Off.

Check the microphone privacy settings.

1. Press "Windows + I" and select "Privacy & security > Microphone";

2. Make sure "Microphone access" is turned on;

3. Look for affected apps and see if the microphone access is allowed;

(These apps will only be on the list if they were installed using the Microsoft Store. If they were not installed using the Microsoft Store, see step 4)

4. At the end of the list, see if "Let desktop apps access your microphone" is turned on.
