Windows 10: I need help with my keyboard because it’s going crazy

Hello everyone so a few months ago my keyboard stopped working because water went into it it started to work again but the buttons started to glitch so I bought a keyboard everything was going fine for months until that keyboard some keys stop working so I bought the same keyboard because it’s amazing and it was working fine for a while but recently my keyboard that came with the laptop has now connected to my second keyboard and my on screen keyboard whenever I click r the run command pops up whenever I click e a bunch of flies pop up and more this is driving me insane and I’ve tried everythi

Thinkpad going crazy, virus, corrupt, or keyboard broken?

Hi All, Could anyone give me some insight as to what is going on here?

A friend's Thinkpad L540 Win10 Home SSD laptop (purchased refurbished, around 5-7 years old) is going crazy. It has happened suddenly, no gradual decline. Suddenly it has started going haywire. When you turn it on, first she wasn't able to log in: when you enter a single keystroke, a dozen asterisks would appear. At the same time the screen is going lighter, then darker again, out of control. I got in to a non-admin account with no password, and was unable to use the Winver command to locate the version number, or do anything. A hundred Firefox windows open, without any reason, a load of Excel windows, all manner of similar nonsense, screen going lighter and darker. I am not able to make any sense of it, not type any commands, I opened Wordpad, and for each letter I typed, a whole string of garbled letters appeared.

The keyboard looks clean, nothing has been spilled on it. I've given the keyboard a good blowing out to get rid of any crumbs etc that might have been causing issues.

I reasoned if I could start with a usb rescue disk, at least then I could tell whether it was a faulty keyboard or the OS. I managed to access Hiren's Boot CD PE, but it wouldn't let me even connect the wifi, as I couldn't type letters into the wifi password box, then the Windows accessibility voice came on out of nowhere and told me the keystrokes weren't recognised. And then it rebooted by itself.

I then tried Kaspersky Rescue CD, but again it wouldn't cooperate. All of these steps I've repeated a few times, but no change.

Could this be a faulty keyboard? I can change a keyboard but that means buying a replacement one, bit of a shame if that's not the actual problem. As I said I haven't been able to access the Windows Version number.

Is it a corrupt OS? My next step might be to reinstall Windows. She doesn't have anything on it needing saving, I would do a fresh install.

My Keyboard Go Crazy and auto type no meaning characters - Help

My keyboard suddenly go crazy and keep type some no meaning characters "//, ltm1, 4" auto turn on my speaker even I muted

1. I tried another keyboard / another USB ports - same error

2. Tried keyboard trouble shooter and easy access - same error

3. Tried full scan virus or malware - nothing found

4. Tried online keyboard tester, found it auto press some no meaning keys even my hand completely free, very horror

A - The keyboards are good and can normally use on other PCs

B - If I use Teamviewer to access CRAZY computer, even it still plug a key board, no crazy typing, remote control it, it normal

The problem only occurred when I physically plug a mouse and keyboard and use this PC, any hints about this problem ? a Windows problem ? a motherboard problem ?

I suggest you to try the methods given below and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Follow these steps to run Power troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Power.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: I suggest you to the below steps to change the settings for keyboard and check if it helps.

• Press “windows+X” and go to “control panel”.
• Click on “device and printers”.
• Right click on the “Bluetooth keyboard” and click on “properties”.
• Under “hardware tab” click on the keyboard device and go to “properties”.
• Then under “general” tab click on “change settings”.
• Click on “power management” tab and uncheck the box “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
• Then click on “ok” and restart the computer, check if the issue persist or not.
