Windows 10: I need help with My microphone connected to my headset/ Webcam involved

I have a logitech C920 HD Pro and when I connected it with to my pc it made my logitech C920 HD Pros microphone into default device and then my headset microphone says un plugged now. And now my headset microphone doesnt work in my headset anymore. And when im trying to change my microphone to my headsets microphone for example when I stream in OBS it wont give me my microphone for my headset option instead the only option their is my webcams microphone. Its as if my logitech C920 HD Pro just took over without anyones permission. Is their any solution to get my microphone to work in my headset again?

Thanks for the quick reply. To respond to your questions:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue?

No, I didn't update, install, change or remove any programs or anything else on my computer

• Have you tried using another headset with microphone on the same computer? If yes, what was the result?

I don't have another headset in my household but I did attempt to use a webcam that has a microphone attached it., and it worked! It connects via a USB port rather than the audio jack.

 

Microphone on headset not being used on PC while webcam microphone is being used instead.

I can plug in my headset in and out now fine, but the microphone is not working. If I plug in the headset into another device, the headset works perfectly fine. When plugging in my PC, the headphones on the headset work, but the microphone is not being used.
Instead, the integrated webcam microphone is being used. This is really troublesome and my webcam microphone is very quiet and I would much rather use my headset microphone. When going into recording devices, it only says there is one microphone





(I'm not too sure what Stereo Mix is, but it didn't fix it when I enabled it so don't worry about that.)

I am not sure why only my webcam microphone is being used, if anyone knows how to help me, please do. Thank you!
