Windows 10: I need more space -only 8 GB available

    My windows 10 upgrade consumes all of it's drive c: space (50 GB)

    • My windows 10 upgrade consumes all of it's drive c: space (50 GB)
    • I am unable to install the update,
    • I suspect the windows 10 need this much space and it is some kind of glitch,
    • Please suggest a way to free up some space as I don't prefer to format partition C:

    Windows Update hangs then says "Updates are available, but we temporarily need 1.15 GB-1.15 GB of space to download" when there is plenty of space"

    Thanks for your suggestion

    I emptied the temp folder and did a disc clean up creating 2.3 GB of free space

    Same message came up saying it needs 1.15 GB-1.15 GB of space to download

    Hi All,

    Recently I have purchased the Lenovo Ideacenter 300, which came with windows 10 home edition on 32 GB disk. After applying the recent update; Available space is decreased from 20 GB to 8 GB .

    Yesterday I tried to clean up the space using disk cleanup for system files, it showed me 10 GB of for the older windows 10 and 2 GB Installation backup.

    Why windows team is doing like that, it is taking 12 GB space for the backup. how to cleanup that, if I use the disk cleanup to clean up these files, what is the disadvantage?

    Could you please help me
