Windows 10: I need serious help with my NGC folder AND Windows Hello

I have Windows 11 Home on ASUS Vivobook 15. It all started when I couldn't change ANY windows hello sign in-s. No face, no fingerprint and NOT EVEN THE BASIC PIN! I searched extremely long for all solutions, asked AIs, asked on reddit and nothing helped. I tried working with the console, the group policy editor, and nothing worked because in ALL methods there was a one step that somehow failed, even it worked for other people I always triple checked everything. So, I found something on this forum about "Deleting the NGC folder". So, I deleted it and I locked the pc. Suddenly, BOOM. No pin

Windows Hello Pin won't allow setup - Tried Ngc folder contents deletion

At some point I stopped being able to log in with my PIN or fingerprint reader. Since logging on with my password and trying to reset the PIN I have not been able to use Windows Hello.

Trying to add a new PIN leads to the eventual message of "Something went wrong. We weren't able to set up your pin..."

Following instructions from various help forums I have deleted the contents of the Ngc folder and have also tried resetting the Access Control Lists on the Ngc folder. Neither of these things have worked.

Does anyone have any further suggestions?

 

No NGC folder

hi! after some major update happened to may laptop i had a hard time logging to my account using the PIN password. I want to fix this by deleting files in NGC folder but this folder is nowhere to find. There's no NGC folder in the appdata . I tried to
find it everywhere but there's none.Please help me

 

Cannot log in due to deleted ngc folder

Hello guys,

I deleted the ngc folder because of issues when adding a fingerprint and new pins. But I cannot log into Windows due to missing files in the ngc folder. The system just stuck after I pressed any key on the lock screen, did not ask for any pin. Tried to restore and reinstall Windows, didn't help. Thank you
