Windows 10: I need some help repairing the Windows login/switch user interface on my pc.

Hi all, averge technical knowledge, no third party support. I jhave a personal PC with my onw main user full admin rights, a Guest, the system administrator and previously two third party admin users PC was used in a work capacity and required oversight of securoty etc. I have two of the third party user admin accounts removed from my personal pc, which has appeared to alter the remaining login/usersettings such that - the only user i can login with is the active user login screen defaults to PIN/Password entry - no ability to change username- and only with the previously used sign

  Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
  

I suggest you to follow the below steps to Switch users.

• 
  Press Ctrl + Alt + Del key altogether.
  
• 
  Click on Switch User.
  
• 
  Select the user with which you want to login.
  

If computer starts up with a user other than the one you want, login to that user account and switch user to the account that you need and check.

I have two of the third party user admin accounts removed from my personal pc, which has appeared to alter the remaining login/usersettings such that

- the only user i can login with is the active user (login screen defaults to PIN/Password entry - no ability to change username)

- and only with the previously used sign in options (i.e. PIN works, but can not toggle to password in my case).

- there is no option to Switch to existing user from the logoff/Ctrl-Alt-Del screens as there has been in the past.

I can force the pc to forget the previous user by toggling the system file prior to logging out, but this then reverts only to a blank username/password box, rather than acknowledging the existence of the other users as i would expect / is default.

System is 6 months old. Issues were not present prior or during the removed admin account being active. The login/switch user accounts worked fine when the other admin users were functioning.

Help much appreciated.

 

Can't login to my windows 10 PC

Hi,

I tried everything that you suggested.

I am trying to login to Microsoft account.

And I am able to login using the web interface.

I used on-screen keyboard too. But the issue persists. It gives an error, and asks to try again.

Please help. I am stuck.
