Windows 10: I need the phone number to fix my locked computer because defender warning

When I opened my olderr laptop it was locked and there was a warning that Windows Defender had detected a Trojan Virus.It has a phone number to call but I am leery as to whether or not this is a scam.The number is 877-428-8320. Is this a valid number?

This is likely to be one of those where, as I don't know what you've already tried, I'll have spent time suggesting what you have tried.

That's why I asked for a clear list of what you have tried.

Do you see this when you toggle caps lock?

I have now tried every fix suggested on here from fast boot to reg changes and nothing works , number lock stays off after shutdown .

 

Windows Defender - Security Warning

I received a Windows Defender Security Warning. Trojan Spyware Alert - Error Code: #0x268d3. My computer is now locked. The pop-up box says to contact Microsoft immediately for assistance in unlocking. Do not attempt to logout or re-start as this could lead to loss of data or identity theft. Was on hold for 2 hours and phone battery died. Any suggestions on how to unlock without any danger?
