Windows 10: I need to apply my windows backup to a new computer.

Basically what the title is saying. I tried to follow the instructions here: Back up your Windows PC - Microsoft Support. I successfully did a backup on my old PC using my personal account live.com. However when I turned on my new PC for the first time I was unable to set it up using my personal account. So I set it up using local user or idk what is the name for that.Unfortunately those instructions does not take that possibility in question and now I dont know how to restore the setting preferences and app list.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Hi Iris,

Let's work together on this. We suggest that you follow the following steps to apply the backup to your Windows Phone:

• Sign into the same Microsoft Account used for the backup creation.
• When prompted to use a backup to restore the handset, select the desired backup and hit ‘next’ to continue with the process.
• The backup will then download (duration will vary depending on speed of connection and size of backup), you can then enter passwords for restored accounts there and then or configure restored email and social accounts later.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
