Mini PCIe SSD for Dell laptop

I recently bought a Dell Latitude E6330, and I've noticed on the Dell support page that there is a firmware update for an mSATA SSD. There is no mSATA port on the laptop's motherboard, however there IS an empty half-height mini PCIe slot, with nothing mentioned either on the driver page or in the manual about anything being installed there. I've done some research, and there are mini PCIe SSDs (using a mini PCIe-mSATA bridge chip on the module) available. I've found a single mini PCIe SSD on eBay (the listing specifies that it was taken from a Latitude E6330), so I'm wondering if I could find any mini PCIe SSD and use it in my system. I can't seem to find any concrete information via Google.

 

Install a Windows on Dell laptop

I've bought a Dell laptop with some branded crap preinstalled in its Windows 10 OEM. It's Inspiron 7559 and I wanted to get a real Windows 10 Pro system, since Arch (the system I hoped to use on daily basis) doesn't yet play well with its HDPI screen. And well it just stopped booting after some reboots

So I took the media creation tool from Microsoft and made a bootable USB stick which does indeed boot on my Dell, but it just can't install Windows 10, here is what happens:

I enter all the prerequisites, choose the partitions etc. It starts to install and... just stuck on the getting files ready for whatever (67%)

But I just can't get the steps.

I've tried the solution suggested by Intel forums to no avail. I've also tried installing newest Ubuntu with similar results. It seems that Dell sold me a brick.

• What exact "Intel Drivers" shall I get extracted to my boot USB stick? Am I supposed to search the internet for them?
  
• What is a "Data Partition" and why should I format it?
  
• Where is the button to load the additional drivers that I got from internet?
  
• How am I supposed to update the BIOS if I don't have a Windows PC?
  

 

How do install my copy of Windows 10 on an SSD that I will then swap for the internal SSD in my Dell Laptop?

I bought a new 500Gb 2.5" SSD and an external USB Hard Drive Case.

I want to do a fresh install of Windows 10 on this drive externally, then swap it for the existing 125 Gb SSD in my Dell Inspiron 11 laptop.

I do not have a registration key for Windows 10 as it was preinstalled, and I am concerned that:

1. The laptop may have a custom Dell installation, ie unique drivers and mods

2. I will lose my registration

3. I will lose all my software installations

4. The laptop will not boot the drive after I swap it in

Please give me step by step instructions and a heads up of any problems I may encounter and should avoid.
