  1. I need to change specific view setting in Explorer not found in Options

With latest Windows, when I open in Explorer I noticed that the files and folders are sorted by "today" or "previous" or "A-H" and then "Q-Z". How I can remove this from the view? It is very annoying and visually disruptive? There is nothing in the Options to alter this setting. Honestly, not sure what the purpose of this is? The beauty of Explorer is that can sort by "name" or "date modified" or "file type". Adding these index headers is just redundant and ridiculous.

    :)

Win10 Home - Explorer Will Not Remember Folder Settings

    Hello,

Just want to confirm you've already completed these steps:

    1) Open File Explorer, and go into the drive you want to apply these settings to.

    2) At the top of your explorer, select View, and List in the Layout section.

    3) Select Options at the far right in View

    4) Select the View Tab at the top, and select 'Apply to Folders'

This should all the changes you're after to all folders in this drive.

If you only want to change the view settings on particular folders without affecting the entirety of file explorer, select only a specific folder and follow the steps above.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, I will provide additional information.
