i need to return a Windows 10 desktop where the computer apparently has memory issues and shuts down at random times. I have saved passwords in my browser, and have used my pin and email address for administrator account---all of which I want removed before I send it back.I was the ONLY used of this machine, and as such the ONLY administrator.The computer will not complete a reset, and will not allow a reset. I have tried numerous times. There is apparently no back up of Windows 10 found on the computer to reset from. I need to do this soon, so the replacement machine can be shipped out to me

If the reset operation is continually failing either the recovery image is missing or corrupt.

If you just need to remove all trace of your personal fata form the PC, then you just need to create a new user profile and delete the old one

Open the Settings App

Go to Accounts - Family and other People

Click 'Add someone else to this PC'

Follow the prompts to create a new account, use a generic name like User and do not provide any Microsoft Account details, select the option - I do not know this person's details'

Close the settings app

Log out of that user account

Log into your new account

Click the Start Button, type netplwiz and hit Enter

In the resulting dialog, select the old account and click 'Remove'

That's It, your new Admin Account will replace the old account

If that is not what you want to do, because the reset is failing, the only other option is to clean install Windows on that device.

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), you can create a bootable USB flash drive (min 8GB) using that tool

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created (change Boot Order in your BIOS) to begin installing Windows 10

During the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue.
