You can use Voice Access on Windows 11 offline. According to Microsoft Support, Voice Access is a new feature in Windows 11 that enables everyone, including people with mobility disabilities, to control their PC and author text using only their voice and without an internet connection.

Here’s how you can set it up:

1. Launch Voice Access from Settings: In the Start menu, select Settings > Accessibility > Speech. Turn on the Voice access switch.
   
2. Start Voice Access from Windows search: Open Windows search and type voice access. Select Open to start voice access.
   

When you turn on Voice Access for the first time, you are prompted to download voice access language files to be used by on-device speech recognition. Once the language files have been downloaded, voice access works regardless of your internet connection status.

Note: You may still need the Internet to download the corresponding language files when setting up for the first time. After the download is complete, you can use it offline.

when i try to record a yt video(i only want the audio) with the voice recorder, it's not recording any audio from the video

To record audio from a YouTube video using the Voice Recorder app on Windows 10, you need to ensure that the app is set up to capture system audio, not just microphone input. Here are the steps to achieve this:

1. Enable Stereo Mix:
   
   • Right-click on the speaker icon in your system tray and select "Open Sound settings."
     
   • Scroll down and click on "Sound Control Panel" under the "Related Settings" section.
     
   • In the Sound window, go to the "Recording" tab.
     
   • Right-click in the window and select "Show Disabled Devices."
     
   • Find "Stereo Mix," right-click on it, and select "Enable."
     
   • Set "Stereo Mix" as the default recording device by right-clicking on it and selecting "Set as Default Device."
     
2. Configure Voice Recorder:
   
   • Open the Voice Recorder app from the Start menu.
     
   • Click the blue microphone button to start recording. With Stereo Mix enabled, the app should now capture all audio playing through your computer, including YouTube videos.

1. Update the Voice Recorder App:

   • Right-click on your audio device (e.g., Realtek Audio) and select "Update driver."
     
   • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the prompts.
     
3. Run the Audio Troubleshooter:
   
   • Go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot."
     
   • Select "Recording Audio" and click "Run the troubleshooter." Follow the on-screen instructions to resolve any detected issues.
     
4. Check Microphone and App Permissions:
   
   • Go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Privacy" > "Microphone."
     
   • Ensure that "Allow apps to access your microphone" is turned on.
     
   • Scroll down and make sure the Voice Recorder app has permission to access the microphone.

Unable to access audio from speakers and headphones by setting the devices as a default on Windows 10

I understand your concern about accessing audio from headphones, speaker on your device. We will help you with this issue.

Do let us know if you have installed all the pending updates for drivers on your device?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted drivers/ settings to access Default device.

Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Step 2: I suggest you to connect the headphones, set the device as a default device and check if it helps

Follow the steps:

• Right click on the sound icon at the bottom right corner of the
  Taskbar.
• Click on Playback devices.
• Check if you are able to find the icon headphone in the list of connected playback devices.
• If yes, click on the icon and then click on Set default
  option.
• Click on Apply and then on OK.

Step 3: I suggest you to find the audio drivers from Device Manager, update them and check if it helps.

Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Device Manager, right click on the audio drivers and click on
Update driver software.
