Windows 10: I need to download Windows 10 recovery onto SD card

I tried to factory reset my laptop and now it won't go past automatic repair without continuously rebooting. How do I install Windows 10 on SD card so that I can have a recovery for my laptop Asus?* Changed to a question & moved from Edge

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Please check your Windows updates (including optional updates).

• 
  At the Start screen, type
  Windows Update.
  
• 
  Select Check for Update.
  
• 
  Download and Install the latest Windows Updates.
  
  Method 2: Check in compatibility mode.
  
  Download the drivers from manufacture's website for Windows 10, if there no drivers available for Windows 10, download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website and try installing it in compatibility
  mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.
  
  Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.
  

• 
  Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
  
• 
  Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
  
• 
  Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
  ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
  
• 
  Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
  

Method 3:

Please check if the Micro SD card is listed in disk management.

• Press Windows key + X
• Click on disk management
• Check if the Micro SD card is listed

But can you please elaborate " All other apps and maps should be able to be recovered, but would have to be downloaded again."

I am confused a bit....

In simple word If do following steps

• I upgrade from the nokia center (Without SD card)....
• Then I reinsert My SD card

Now can I use my previously downloaded Maps and Applications which were Stored in the SD card......without 'recovery' using Internet?

 

SD card/SD card reader no longer working

Hi. New to this so not sure of category.
I have a Lenovo G70. Windows 10, 64bit
My SD card reader has stopped working.
In Device Manager, the SD card is not listed.
I can't format the card as it is not listed.
I cannot locate the card at all as it is not listed anywhere.
I've tried chkdsk and get 'Cannot open volume for direct access'
I don't even have the icon displaying when micro SD card is inserted.
It did work previously but I had errors. Scanning and fixing did not help.
I place the SD card in my Android phone and it works fine.
Please help!
