Windows 10: I need to enable windows hello pin on an account i dont have access to on my pc

My Microsoft account just got hacked, and i kept getting stupid windows pin popups whenever i tried logging into the xbox app, so i disabled windows hello pin on that account and signed out, and now i cant sign in because the hacker changed my verification email so i cant sign back in. Is there anyway i can re enable the windows hello pin from another account signed in on my pc so i can get back into the account???

• How are you setting the PIN and Hello?
• Which build version of Windows is your PC running on?
• Were there any error codes or messages?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to set up PIN.

• Open Settings.
• Select Accounts.
• Click Sign-in options.
• Click the Add button for the PIN and set your PIN.
• Do the same for the Windows Hello.

Windows Hello Pin reset is not available when accessing my passwords

You mean you want to remove the Windows Hello Pin? Pin is device specific while Microsoft account is account specific.

However, you should be able to get rid of it by using the followng steps:

First, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options, scroll down to mid page, under "Additional Settings",Make sure "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended). " is turned OFF.

Then go to Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School, make sure you have nothing listed there. If there's an account listed there, click on it and then disconnect. Restart the computer.

Then you can go to the Windows hello page, click on PIN and find the remove button to remove it.

 

Unable to setup Windows Hello, error: incorrect pin

May I know the complete error code or error message that you are receiving when you try to setup Windows Hello?

Do you have any other user account on the computer?

If yes, does Windows Hello work on that account?

If Windows Hello is not setup on other account, please setup it up and check if it works so that we can narrow down the issue for you.

I suggest to remove the pin and setup a new pin on the child account and check if it works with Windows Hello.

Please follow the steps below to remove and re-add the PIN:

• Press Windows logo key + I to open Settings.
  
• Select Accounts.
  
• Click on Sign-in options.
  
• Under PIN, remove the pin. There will be prompt to enter password, enter the password and removed the PIN.
  
• After the pin is removed, please click on
  Add to setup pin for the account.
  
• After setting up a new PIN, try to set up Windows Hello.
