My understanding of Slartybart's 1) is the installation of your old version Windows on the new machine.
If you've used the free upgrade offer, you won't be able to install the old version Windows after 30 days. The license will be bound to Windows 10 already. Isn't this part of conditions of the free upgrade offer?

 

Move windows 10 pro license from virtual machine to physical machine.

I need to move a windows 10 pro license from a virtual machine to a physical machine. The license has been bought as windows 10 pro not upgrade etc. The thing is that the computer (Mac book pro) where the virtual machine used to live is now dead beyond
repair and to expensive to use. So I want to install windows 10 on a dell laptop now but I cant deactivate the old license on the virtual machine. Any suggestions?

My wife uses Windows for everything. I like linux, but need Windows for gaming. I have a copy of Win10 installed natively. I want to experiment with running games on a Win10 virtual machine under Linux. The enterprise evaluation copy I'm using as a VM
now has already expired (what does that mean, anyway?) Can I install Win10 as a VM using the same copy of Win10 I bought? I should be able to, morally. I'll be damned if I'm buying 2 licenses for the same computer.
