I have something called a zip file? I'm not that much into computers as I'm a senior citizen and I came late to the use of computers. I would like to know how to move this zip file? to an email. Any help would be appreciated. Please keep it simple for me. Technical jargon will not help. Thank you very much.

.zip can't be set to File Explorer

  Click on choose default programs by file type
  
• 
  Select .zip
  and select File Explorer

Access denied to zip file

The issue that you're experiencing may be due to a corrupted user profile. We have found a workaround regarding the "Access denied" error. Kindly follow the steps below.

• Press Windows key + E to open File Explorer.
• Copy the files that you want to zip.
• Paste it in the Downloads folder.

File is supposed to be a Zip file, but it is being read as a pdf

The reason why your .zip files are read as .pdf file is because of incorrect file association.

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

• Click Start, click the Settings button, click
  Apps, and then click Default apps.
• Scroll to the bottom and click the link to Choose default apps by file type.
• Scroll down to .zip and click the program listed in the right column.
• Click your preferred zip program to select it and then close the open window.
