Windows 10: I need to lock down a WIN10 PC like kiosk does, but I need it to run my custom program.

I am trying to get a windows 10 PC locked down like kiosk mode does, however I need it to run my specific program. For arguments sake lets say it has to run "myapp.exe"



I have seen a couple of things saying that if I use shell launcher it should work.

I am not very good with powershell (in fact pretty much a complete novice).

The program also has some dependancies, an SDK package for example has to be run with it.



Is there a simple way to do what I am trying to without 3rd party programs?

I have looked at something like start killer but I would like it a little more locked down if possible.

Any advice or point in the right direction would be super appreciated.

Kiosk Mode in Windows 10.

• How many apps do you plan on running on the said mode?

Any software to lock a running program?

Does anyone know of an ap or program that will allow me to lock software while in use so that it cannot be closed without a password or similar?

For example, if I have a media player open and running music is there a way or an ap that will allow no one to be able to close it, minimize it or use any other software on the PC?

Windows 10 kiosk mode: screen locks after login

I understand that you are facing issues while using Kiosk Mode on Windows 10.



Since you are being logged out of Kiosk Mode after every login, I suggest you to refer the article

Troubleshoot kiosk mode issues.



Also, you can try removing and creating the Kiosk account again, follow the steps mentioned below to remove the Kiosk account:

1. Go to Settings >
   Accounts > Family & other people.
   
2. Under Setup a kiosk option click on
   Assigned access.
   
3. Now under Kiosk info click on the
   account name and click on Remove kiosk.
   
4. Now click on Remove.
   

Once the account is removed, refer the article to
Set up a single-app kiosk.
