Windows 10: I need to remove a personal account from a Windows 10 Pro Machine with a personal and work...

I'm trying to remove my personal account from a Windows 10 Pro machine and switch to my work account as the primary. When I set the laptop up, I couldn't use my work account and was forced to use the personal just to set it up. I've tried switching to a local account and removing it that way, but do not get that option on the "Your Info" screen as shown in common tutorials on how to do this.

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Cannot remove personal Hotmail account from Work laptop

At some point, I must have logged into a personal Microsoft product from my Work laptop, and now the personal email address account appears on my work device (in the top left in account settings) This old Hotmail account appears everywhere that my account is visible on my work device and its really unprofessional. There is no option to remove it, as there is with other accounts.

I have logged into my personal account on Microsoft.com and the work device is not associated with my personal O365 account, but still this account appears on my work laptop.

Our IT department has tried and failed to remove this account from my work device. It is visible everywhere on the machine and is very embarrassing.

Short of rebuilding my work account profile, there must be a way to get it off my work machine.

I sign into my work machine using my work credentials, all of my apps are work apps with work logins. My personal O365 subscriptions are not associated with the work machine (I have checked Adobe / office etc)

The work machine is not a linked device in my personal O365 subscription, and thankfully outlook is not syncing to this personal account.

Please can someone help?

 

Microsoft Account-Remove Cloud Backup of Personal Settings question

Hi,
I looked at my Microsoft Account and under the Devices Menu at the top for my PC I noticed a More Actions dropdown list saying Remove cloud backup of personal settings which talks about turning off syncing first and then clicking on Remove button and then removing the PC from the backed up devices in OneDrive which is never listed in Windows 10. There is also another option in the More Actions dropdown menu for the PC in my Microsoft account saying Remove PC.
For what purpose would you use these two options ? (Remove cloud backup of personal settings and Remove PC)
