After I was forced to update on 4/27, my computer will not let me exit Safe Mode.

I understand the inconvenience caused to you. We will help you to resolve the issue.

In order to help you better, could you please confirm a couple of things.

• Which KB update was installed on your computer?
• What happens when you try to exit from safe mode?
• Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to follow the steps to come out of Safe mode as below and check if it helps.

• Log in to safe mode.
• Press "Windows" + "R" key.
• Type "msconfig" and select "Boot" tab.
• Uncheck "Safe boot" and select "OK".
• Now restart your device. Your device will boot in normal boot.

What PSU should i get?

I find NO specs on the psu you listed, not the one ktr listed, ktr also suggested i get the mushkin psu!

 

I can’t use wifi in safe mode. How do I?

Thank you for reaching out. I am Harun an Independent Advisor and Microsoft User. I will gladly help you out.

You actually can boot Windows into a State Called "Safe Mode with Network" this is the safe mode where you can use your WIFI. Normal Safe mode is run with minimal Core Services needed to troubleshoot problems hence it's not running networking.

To boot windows into Safe Mode with Networking follow these steps:

- Start Windows Normally,

- Click Windows Start,

- Type "Run",

- Type "msconfig" and Launch System Configuration App,

- Select the "Boot" Tab,

- Click "Safe Mode" and select the Option Network also,

- Windows Will Prompt to Restart the PC do so,

- Let the PC boot and wait at the login screen,

- Click the Network icon prior to logging in as a user, you will be able to connect to a network.

- Should the user account have auto logged in, press CTRL, ALT and DEL and then click the network icon, you will now be able to connect to a network.

PS: MS Edge browser will not work in safe Mode use Internet Explorer instead or any other if available.
