Windows 10: I need to reset password for my sons Microsoft account

Split from this thread. Hello,I need to reset password for my sons Microsoft account which he uses to play Minecraft. I have been at it for 10 days now and I am only getting responses from automated systems which state that they cannot confirm my identity and I am getting nowhere. All posts and all "chat bots" are forwarding me to "reset password" or "forgotten password" functionality but in the end I get same answer and no access to account. Funny thing is I have all evidence of purchase of Minecraft and creating the account but it is not helping. Can someone please tell me how to escalat

Thanks for the reply, but it does not help me. The website does not proceed past step 4. After entering the security code, the website does not proceed to step 5. It does not give an error message, it simply greys out the next and cancel buttons and hangs
indefinitely.

I'll try your "Get account help by email" suggestion and post the solution here when I've found one.

• Select Password security.
• Type your current password, then type a new password and type it again to verify.

If you going to use a password make a new Account without a password so if you need to get back in your computer if you can.
