I need to save an .m4a file from a network share to my Desktop.

I'm getting an error that the file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved screenshot. The size is not large, so that's not actually the problem?I don't want to convert it; I don't want a .txt. I just want to copy the file from one location to the other.Any help appreciated.

    :)

The option converting m4a files to wma files in windows 10 is disappeared

    • What app are you using to convert the files?
I don't use any app to convert the files. I just copy the m4a files from my music folder. Then I paste the m4a files in my android phone drive that connected to my laptop. Then a windows pop-up that shows the option converting m4a files to wma files appears.
You can see the windows pop-up in below picture. Now the windows pop-up is disappeared.

    • When did the issue start to happen?
I found this problem last week. However, I didn't convert m4a files to wma files since May, 2017.

    • Were there any changes made to your device prior to the issue?
I updated windows several times prior to the issue.

    • Have you done any troubleshooting steps so far?
I haven't done any troubleshooting steps.

    File sharing windows 10 network

    Hi Steve,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are unable to see shared folders in File Explorer. I’ll certainly assist you with this.

I would suggest you to check if Network discovery is on or not. To do this, refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Go to Control Panel > Click on
      Network and Internet >
Click on Network and Sharing Center.

    2. Click on Change advance sharing settings
      on the left pane.
    3. Select Turn on network discovery
      under Private and Guest network.
    4. Click on Save changes.

You may also want to refer the article on

    .

Let us know how it goes.

I need to save an .m4a file from a network share to my Desktop.

configurating windows 10 network share through .bat file

I was right. Your commands are failing because your Windows firewall has DisplayGroup names in Portuguese so it does not have DisplayGroups called Network discovery or File and printer sharing. Many of your DisplayGroup names contain characters that do not render correctly in that text file. Perhaps that also affects using commands in Command prompt & PowerShell generally??? [Hannes will be able to do better when he joins in] Run this command in an Admin Command prompt window to get a list of your firewall display groups Code:
It's a very long list because I do not know an easy way of removing duplicates. [My results list has 440 lines.] I suggest you scroll up & down in the Cmd window looking for the Portuguese for Network discovery & File and printer sharing You could save the list to a file as before Code:
I've seen people refer to country codes when talking about using commands in foreign languages but it is not a subject I know anything about. If you can spot the Portuguese for Network discovery & File and printer sharing then I suggest you substitute them in the commands Hannes gave you. Best of luck, Denis
