Scan for Hardware Changes Missing on Device Manager

    Hi GreenMenComputers

That menu will, by default, just have the Help option . . .

Click any device category in the list, then, click the Action menu and the 'Scan for Hardware Changed' option will appear . ..

  3. Scan for Hardware Changes Missing on Device Manager

I have four different PCs - Windows 10 Pro, updated to the most recent updates - that are missing Scan for Hardware Changes in Device Manager. The four are of completely different hardware configurations.

In the past, I have been able to open Device Manager - Go to the Action menu - Select Scan for Hardware Changes. Now it is gone. I also remember a couple of other choices under the menu but they seem to be gone too. The only one remaining item is Help.

    Are other's seeing this?

And is there another way to scan for hardware changes?

    device manager

    • RE: Device Manager
    • YOU SAY TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
    • Select Uninstall from the menu that appears.
    • After the device is uninstalled, choose Action on the menu bar.
    • Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.
    • I BEG YOR PARDON, THE IS NO "Scan for hardware changes" Under the "ACTION" menu! There is only "HELP" UNDER THE "ACTION" Menu in Device Manager.
    • Where do I find this
      "Scan for hardware changes" option????
