So the situation is as follows:The company I work for needs 30 laptops set up and for each of them to be issued with email addresses so we can loan them out to potential learners I work for a school which teaches both in classrooms and remotely via Teams, who can then complete their courses and have an email address set up for them to be able to send in their work. The other benefit is that it allows us to have the devices safeguarded because I can put on content filters and manage their devices remotely from the Family panel without needing the laptop directly, so it is highly useful for us

adding user accounts for children

"It is overbearing for Microsoft to require children to either have an e-mail or phone number"

The (unhelpful technician):

"I suggest you to follow the steps how to create the child account as below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key and select settings.
• Click on Account and select Family and other users.
• Then click add someone else to this pc and select add child’s account
• Enter the child’s email address and click on Next."

This is becoming such a trend. Please read the details that someone has gone to the trouble of providing so that you can respond HELPFULLY.

 

Family Safety weekly report being CC'd to my children

Hi,

As the information of Family Safety Report are going to children by default, we would like you to do a refresh on the child account and see if the issue persists.

To remove/re-add a child account, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to Family Safety using the parent account.

2. Click Manage list of Family Members.

3. Select the child account, and then click Remove. Click Remove to confirm.

After troubleshooting, we would suggest you to add the children account. The reports will not be CC to children.

Unable to add all children under the family, allowing only 4 children.

Original title: Family Accts - Children Accts...

I have 6 children and it seems from what I can tell there are only 4 allowed. Is that correct? Why not let me have all my children under the family?

I know 6 is a lot of children but I don't think it's that unreasonable of a #. Even with 6 kids we still want to keep them safe.

If you have any suggestions I would appreciate you help.
