I'm in distress here trying to do a fresh install of windows 10. Everytime i reinstall windows and i turn off the automatic driver...     I need Windows to STOP automatically downloading drivers.


    Hello there.

    I'm in distress here trying to do a fresh install of windows 10.

    Everytime i reinstall windows and i turn off the automatic driver updates on the system menu, and connect it to the internet it will always, in a matter of seconds, download some wrong touchpad driver that will instantanly BSOD my system. The original synaptics driver on my laptop manufacturer, MSI, does not work and will also BSOD the machine.

    The ONLY to do it right is and have no BSOD is to download an app from microsoft store called SynMsiDApp, and that way it installs the correct working driver.

    But windows 10, no matter what i try, will always beat me to it as soon i plug in my ethernet cable, and thus crashing my whole system. Its driving me insane.

    If i could find this app offline i could install it before windows decides to be a jerk while online, and let me do what i want.

    Whoever tought of this auto driver system should step on dog poo everyday for the rest of his life.

    Again, turning off the automatic update of drivers on the system menu does nothing.

    Stop windows automatic driver install

    I'm having a problem with installing a nvidia card. windows 7 automatically installs some wdm 1.1 drivers, then when i install the 195.39 drivers, it gives me less performance. like the cards lags in games when it should run fine.

    how can i stop windows from installing the drivers automatically ?

    i tried checking the "don't install drivers from windows update" in device manager. it still installs it.

    windows automatic driver install

    whenever i uninstall my video card drivers and reboot windows will install some random drivers and wont let me stop it. ive checked off the option to not automatically install drivers in advanced system settings but it still does it. how can i stop this?
